East Gwillimbury (EG) offers a variety of exciting activities and events for all ages. We are home to many excellent indoor and outdoor facilities for you to enjoy all year round! You can find our recreational programs and initiatives below.

Respectful Public Spaces

The Town is committed to serving everyone in a consistent, fair, and respectful way. We are here to help and strive to provide professional, equitable, and timely service to all members of the public.

To support this commitment, the Town has adopted an administrative policy, Respectful Public Spaces Policy. This policy outlines expectations for behaviour in municipal facilities, at Town events, and during service interactions (in person, by phone, email, or online).

An administrative policy is developed, approved and overseen at the staff level to support the operations of the organization. This ensures that the organization is meeting its requirements to protect staff volunteers, Members of Council, or residents from misconduct.

We welcome feedback, questions, and differing views, however, behaviour that is inappropriate, abusive, threatening, or disruptive, referred to in the policy as “misconduct” will not be tolerated. The policy provides a clear and fair process to address situations where conduct interferes with the safety, well-being, or ability of staff, volunteers, Members of Council, or residents to participate in municipal spaces and services.

We're excited to share the launch of our Move, Play, Connect recreation gift cards. From refreshing laps in the pool to fitness classes, and community sports and activities, a gift card is the perfect way to promote wellness and participation. These gift cards can be used for registered programs, camps, drop-ins, birthday parties, and memberships. Click the boxes below for details about recreation in EG.
