Join us for an unforgettable summer adventure! Our Town camps offer a wide range of exciting activities, in a safe and fun environment for your child to make new friends, learn new skills and create lasting memories! Register with us and let your child's imagination soar!

Pre-registration is required for our Summer Camps. Registration is available online on i-Reg, by calling 905-478-4282 or in-person at Customer Service at the EG Sports Complex (E.G.S.C.) or Civic Centre. 

Summer Camp Guide Release is on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Summer Camp registration opens on February 17, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. for residents and February 20, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. for non-residents.

Camp Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Extended Hours: We are re-introducing our extended hour service for families enrolled in our summer camps. These hours are provided at an extra cost.

Before Care - 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. | $40 per week

After Care - 4 to 5:30 p.m. | $40 per week

*Please note that no extended care will be offered at our Harvest Hills location, due to permit availability.

 Email Icon Camper Welcome Email 

You will receive a welcome email the Thursday before the start of camp, with the following forms for completion:

  • Allergy/medication form
  • Authorized pick-up form
  • Safe Play Protocols form

To verify your email is correct in our system, please check your online account or contact our Recreation Services department at 905-478-3826. If you register after 12 noon on the Thursday prior to camp, please email the Summer Camp Team for the camp paperwork and schedule.

 Late Icon Late Pick-Up

Failure to pick up your camper by the designated time will result in a late pick up fee of $10 every 15 minutes for each camper.

 Late Icon Absent or Late to Camp
If you know in advance that your child will be absent, please email the Summer Camp Team or contact Recreation Services at 905-478-3826. If we have not heard from you, Camp Supervisors will call the primary contact to confirm your child’s absence.
 Signature Icon Sign In and Out Procedures 

Parents/guardians will be asked to document individuals who are authorized to pick up their child at the end of camp, during the day or if early pick up is required. All parents/guardians will be required to show photo ID for verification. Please have your ID ready when picking up your camper.

Ensure all medical concerns (medications, allergies, epi-pen, etc.) are up to date and properly documented during registration.

Our staff are selected on the basis of past experience, skills, enthusiasm and passion to work with children. Our staff are certified in First Aid and CPR-C, High Five and submit a police Vulnerable Sector Check.

The Town of East Gwillimbury is committed to providing fun, safe, and engaging recreational program opportunities to residents and community members. All participants attending programs are expected to participate and behave in a way that fosters safety to themselves and others. There are certain behavioural expectations that are required to be met by our participants to ensure that all campers have a rewarding, memorable, and fun experience while participating in our programs.

The Safe Play in Camps procedure outlines behavioural expectations that the Town of East Gwillimbury has within programs, in addition to the follow-up steps taken when behaviour expectations are not met. Participants in our programs are also expected to abide by the Town of East Gwillimbury’s Camp Code of Conduct.

This includes (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Respect other participants, staff, and volunteers

  • Respect the Town of East Gwillimbury buildings and property

  • Respect other’s personal space and belongings

  • Use appropriate language with Town staff, volunteers, other registered participants, and the public

  • Stay with the group

  • Remain hands off

  • Follow instruction from Town of East Gwillimbury staff members and volunteers

  • Contribute to a safe, friendly, and productive environment that cares for everyone 

To promote a safe and successful program environment, East Gwillimbury’s recreation staff are committed to working with participants and implementing tools and strategies to handling conflict, making feasible adaptations when necessary, and for creating a successful experience for all.

If your child has behavioural concerns, please contact the Recreation Coordinator and notify them of triggers and methods that are helpful for your child. It is our goal to make camp enjoyable for everyone!
