#EndHate Campaign in York Region

In May 2023, York Regional Police (YRP) reported an increase in hate crime occurrences against South Asian, Black, Jewish and Muslim communities compared to 2022 statistics.

Hate has no home in York Region. No one should feel unsafe simply because of who they are.

We all have a role to play to make sure York Region is a welcoming, inclusive and safe place for everyone. By standing up against hate, we are showing our commitment to creating communities where diversity is celebrated and everyone...

National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The Town of East Gwillimbury is hosting a flag raising to recognize National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The flag raising is at 8:45 a.m. on December 6, and was requested by Yellow Brick House.
