Igniting Change: Unveiling the Top Three Fire Risks in East Gwillimbury's Neighbourhoods

East Gwillimbury is fired up! Fire and Emergency Services (FES) launched the Community Risk Assessment (CRA) which identifies the top three causes of fire within each of the eight communities in East Gwillimbury.

The data collected from the CRA is used to assess current risks within each community and make informed decisions about the level and type of fire protection services needed. Knowing these risks can help FES develop the right fire safety programs and public education activities.

EG Looks Back at 2023 Accomplishments

East Gwillimbury recently released the 2023 Strategic Plan Annual Report which highlights municipal accomplishments over the past year. The Report is part of the Town’s commitment to share updates with the community as part of the 2022 to 2026 Strategic Plan.

2023 was the first full year of the Strategic Plan and the work completed will help set the stage for the remainder of the Council Term. The projects included in the Report took significant staff time and effort throughout the year.
