Road Work Ahead

A one-day lane closure is required for paving as part road improvements on Highway 11 from Green Lane to the Bradford Boundary in the Town of East Gwillimbury and Township of King.

Description

  • Paving on Highway 11, immediately south of the Holland River Bridge
  • This work is to create a smoother transition between the road and the bridge, improving the road condition for travellers

Date and Time

  • Tuesday, November 26, 2024 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Impacts to Residents and Travellers

  • Two southbound lanes will be closed at the Holland River Bridge for a section of approximately 100 metres
  • Southbound traffic will be shifted to a northbound lane, reconfiguring lanes to one lane in each direction
  • Signs and traffic barrels will guide traffic
  • Access to nearby driveways and entrances will be maintained
  • Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles

 

As with all road construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.

This is the final stage of work for this section of Highway 11. The section of Highway 11 from Bathurst Street to Morning Sideroad will be reconstructed in 2025.
