After a month-long strike, Canada Post services resumed on Tuesday, December 17. East Gwillimbury December water bills have been mailed out but may take weeks to arrive as Canada Post works through the backlog. The Town has resumed regular processing of mail services for water and property tax bills.

The Town of East Gwillimbury's annual Toy and Food Drive hopes to make the holiday season a little brighter for families and charities in our community. Donations of non-perishable food items, gift cards, new unwrapped toys toiletries and more are being accepted until Monday, December 16, 2024.

The safety of roads and bridges in East Gwillimbury is a top priority. Due to unforeseen circumstances and damage, the bridge on Queensville Sideroad, located approximately 100 metres east of Highway 48, crossing Mount Albert Creek, requires an emergency closure effective Monday, October 28. Queensville Sideroad will be closed at Highway 48 in the Town of East Gwillimbury. Understanding the Tree Protection By-law in EG
The Town has developed a tree protection by-law for private properties to protect mature trees in EG. The goal of the by-law is to protect existing tree canopy and preserve Natural Heritage areas throughout our community. The new by-law addresses the removal of trees with a trunk diameter of 20 cm or greater.
