The Town of East Gwillimbury is excited to launch its first Summer of Parks opening celebration today at Silk Twist Trail in the community of Holland Landing. EG's mosquito control program has begun. The program consists of the application of a biological larvicide (VectoBac 200G [PCP#18158, granular formulation]), by helicopter, to standing water mosquito breeding habitats within the Town. Due to the infestation of Lymantria Dispar Dispar (LDD) within East Gwillimbury, the Town will be giving away one piece of burlap per household, beginning Friday, April 8, 2022, while supplies last. Information sheets on proper install and use of burlap bands will be available.
