Road Closure - York Durham Line

Due to safety concerns with the bridge across the Mount Albert Creek, York/Durham Regional Rd. #30 will be closed on Thursday, January 20 until bridge repairs are completed. The closure takes place north of Durham Reg. Rd. 39 in the Township of Uxbridge and north of Queensville Sideroad and south of Holborn Road in East Gwillimbury. A map of the detour route is below, and access to homes will be maintained throughout the closure.

East Gwillimbury cancels Noon Year’s Eve event as COVID numbers increase

East Gwillimbury has made the difficult decision to cancel its Noon Year’s Eve event due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. The Town extends thanks and appreciation to the event sponsors, volunteers, and staff for all their efforts in planning this event.

Although the event is cancelled, the Town still has many activities, parks, and trails for residents to enjoy over the holidays.

  • Public skating - Drop-in public skating is available at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex from December 27 to 31....

Capacity limits at Town facilities effective Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 12:01 a.m.

Following the Ontario Government's recent announcement on restricting capacity limits, effective at 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, December 19, East Gwillimbury will be reducing capacity limits at its facilities. Visit the Community Centres page for more information.
