Oriole Bridge Boardwalk and Trail now open!

Exciting news EG! The Oriole Trail Bridge and Boardwalk project is now complete. This project provides the benefits of a recreational trail, active transportation, key pedestrian connection and is also a part of the Lake to Lake Route. 

Thank you to our project partners, York Region and the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.

Notice of Road Work - Crack Sealing

Weather permitting, Crack Sealing work is expected to begin on Thursday, August 5th and all streets are expected to be complete by Friday, August 20th.

This project covers many roads across Town and work typically lasts for a few hours per street.

Road sweeping will commence approx. 2-3 days prior to the sealant placement.

All roads will remain opened during this time, lanes will only be reduced where the crew is actively working.

Bell Expanding Internet Access in EG

As part of the accelerated capital investment program, Bell is expanding its high-speed Internet services to approximately 5,000 locations in EG by the end of 2021. This program will provide fast and high-capacity 100% fibre connections to even more residents with Internet download speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. Ontario Moves to Step Three of Reopening Plan

July 9, 2021

Based on the provincewide vaccination rate and continuing improvements in key public health and health system indicators, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, is moving the province into Step Three of its Roadmap to Reopen plan on Friday, July 16, 2021. It will remain in Step Three for at least 21 days to evaluate any impacts on key public health and health system indicators.
