The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) has partnered with the East Gwillimbury Public Library, Scholastic Canada and our EG Fairies to bring a special surprise to EG residents on Friday, June 25. Residents can visit parks and trails in our community beginning at noon to find free books hidden throughout our open spaces.
Park visitors can keep the book they've found and enjoy with their family and friends! Please take one book, so others in our community can join in the fun as well!

Yonge St. will be closed from June 29 at 7 p.m. to June 30 at 7 p.m. between Holland Landing Rd. and Mount Albert Rd. to allow Metrolinx to complete rail crossing repairs. Due to the increasing numbers of the Lymantria Dispar Dispar (LDD/ Gypsy Moth) within East Gwillimbury, the Town will be doing a free burlap giveaway at the EGPL - Holland Landing Library Branch (HLLB), beginning Tuesday, June 15, while supplies last.

Vivian Creek Park
Construction will begin tomorrow, weather dependent, to improve drainage at the east end of the parking lot at Vivian Creek Park. There will be a fence placed around the construction area for safety.
Construction is only anticipated to last one day, and won't affect the park’s daily operation. Pedestrians will still be able to access the park and trails by passing around the fenced work zone.
