East Gwillimbury celebrates the official opening of Queensville Park

It’s been an exciting summer of park opening celebrations in East Gwillimbury, and today’s opening in Queensville marks the ninth opening of the year. Located next to the Queensville Fire Station 2-8, this park features three lit tennis courts, an updated pavilion for programs and camps, and the start of a new trail walking loop.

The Regional Municipality of York is making improvements at the Sherwood Forest Pumping Station and Holland Landing Elevated Tank located at 2 Pear Blossom Way, in the Town of East Gwillimbury. The work will extend the life of the pumping station and elevated tank, and support the continued supply of safe, quality drinking water to your community.

Tapestry of Taste (TOT), presented by Rice Group is back in town next weekend on August 12 from 6 to 10 p.m. and August 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie Street. This two-day event features live entertainment, an art show, various artisan vendors, delicious food, refreshing beverages, strolling entertainment, kids’ activities and more!
