The MTO is resuming construction at the Highway 48 and Mount Albert Road intersection to improve road conditions and infrastructure. 

Highway 48 and Mount Albert Road Intersection:

Location:

  • Highway 48 (400 m south to 500 m north of Mount Albert Road) 
  • Mount Albert Road (100 m east and west of the intersection) 

Timeline: April 24 to July 17, 2026

Work includes: Road reconstruction, bridge rehabilitation, new drainage (catch basins), electrical upgrades, new traffic signals, and intersection paving

York Region Transit Service Changes

Beginning April 26, York Region Transit (YRT) is updating its trip planning tool to include the detour route through Holland Landing. This detour is part of the Holland Landing Downtown Revitalization project, which will enhance the downtown area.
