York Region has installed an Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) camera on Leslie St. in front of Sharon Public School. ASE is a system that uses a camera and speed measurement device to enforce speed limits in identified areas. Town Looking to Identify Key Issues for Local Businesses

In recognition of the significant impact of the pandemic on local businesses, the Town of EG will be launching a Business Retention & Expansion (BR + E) interview initiative to better understand and respond to the needs of local businesses.

Overnight permit parking permits available

The Town is offering a new permit-based overnight parking program. 
The permitted parking program has been developed as a measure to address immediate parking challenges in the community while a more comprehensive analysis is undertaken.

Temporary Outdoor Pickleball Court Closure

The outdoor pickleball courts at the Health and Active Living Plaza (160 Jim Mortson Drive) will be closed on Monday, July 20 (weather permitting) while minor work is completed. The courts will re-open on Tuesday, July 21. Thank you for your patience while we make these improvements.

Parking Lots Closure Notice: Thursday, July 16

Please be advised that several EG parking lots will be temporarily closed on Thursday, July 16 for line painting and maintenance. The following lots will be affected:

  • Holland Landing Fire Hall (2-4)
  • Mount Albert Fire Hall (2-6)
  • Nokiidaa Trail Parking Lot (Mount Albert Road)
  • Nokiidaa Trail Parking Lot (Green Lane)
  • River Drive Community Centre
  • Beechwood Park

All parking lots will reopen once painting is complete.
