For several years, The Regional Municipality of York and Town of East Gwillimbury have been working together to decommission the Holland Landing Lagoons at 19932 2nd Concession (Cedar Street).
Effective immediately, the Lagoons are no longer being used for daily operations and the likelihood for potential odours is now greatly reduced.
Until the Lagoons are fully decommissioned in 2028, they will only be used in exceptional circumstances, such as extreme heavy rain, snow fall or operational needs...

We’ve completed an update to the Transportation Master Plan and Water and Wastewater Master Plan. Research, analysis, and feedback have guided both updates, and we thank everyone who participated and shared their thoughts.
Both plans have been endorsed in principle by Council and are available for public review over the next 30 days.
