Youth Programs Registration

Pre-registration is required for our Youth Programs. Registration is available online on i-Reg, by calling 905-478-4282 or in-person at Customer Service at the EG Sports Complex (E.G.S.C.) or Civic Centre. 

Spring registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on March 27 for residents and April 3 for non-residents.

 Age Overrides
 If you require an age override, please contact Recreation Services to inquire about accommodations that can be made. Please note that some programs have strict age limits and we may not be able to provide an age override for all programs.

 Arts and Culture Icon Arts and Culture

Our youth art and dance programs offer a fun and inspiring environment for young artists to explore their talents. With expert guidance and a variety of mediums, your child will learn new skills and build confidence.

Program Reminders:

  • Please wear comfortable clothing 
  • We encourage long hair to be tied back
 Leadership Icon Leadership - Coming Soon!

We look forward to providing programs that encourage leadership and independence such as our 'babysitting' and 'home alone' courses. Stay tuned and come back to learn more!

 Sports Icon Sports

Our youth sports programs offer a fun and supportive environment for kids of all ages and skill levels. Volleyball, Pickleball and Basketball are just a few sports we offer!

Program Reminders:

  • Please wear indoor non-marking shoes appropriate for your activity
  • For racquet sports, participants must come with their own age/size appropriate racquet

Community Engagement 

What Our Youth Community Has to Offer

 Information Icon Youth Action Committee (YAC)
The Youth Advisory Committee will provide advice, comments, and recommendations on issues affecting youth in the community to promote inclusion and engage youth through outreach activities. The Committee will also liaise with other groups and committees throughout the Town to promote events and inclusion within the community.

The composition of the Committee shall be a minimum of 5 members, the majority of whom are youth members and should reflect the diverse residents of the Town of East Gwillimbury.

The committee shall be composed of:

  • Up to 5 youth members aged 12- 16
  • Up to 2 members aged 17 – 19
  • 1- 2 adult members who can supervise and support youth members including liaising with other groups and committees

The Committee meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex, upstairs in the Loft.

 Information Icon Youth Support Fund (YSF)
EG established the Youth Support Fund (YSF) to provide financial assistance to youth and elite athletes. The program is fully funded through the Annual Mayor and Council Charity Golf Tournament held in September.

Teen Night

Join us this season for games, trivia, crafts, sports, a photo booth, and many activities to do with friends! Pizza and snacks will also be provided. This is your chance to come out and have a great night with friends, make sure to secure your spots! Pizza and snacks will also be provided.
