The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) requires you to open and close your water and sewer account to ensure accurate billing.

Account set up/ownership change fee

A one-time name change fee is added to every new account when there is a change of ownership or tenancy on a property. This fee covers the administration effort to costs to close and open a new water account. View our financial service fees.

If you are moving in or out of EG or have a tenant moving in or out, be sure to open and close your water accounts. This will ensure that you are billed accordingly.
