Let’s EnGage- Help us plan unforgettable moments in EG

East Gwillimbury (EG) is developing a municipal events strategy to enhance Town events and connect and engage with the community. Events bring many benefits to EG. They enhance community pride, support local businesses, foster a sense of belonging, and contribute positively to the high quality of life that everyone enjoys.

EG’s Events Strategy will identify ways we can grow and improve our events and partnerships, guide our future event planning, and help lead a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable community.

To ensure the Strategy is reflective of the thoughts and ideas of all community members, various opportunities to share feedback will be available. You can join the conversation by completing the online survey, attending a community workshop, or visiting with the events team at our summer events.

Community Survey

Share your thoughts and ideas on what you enjoy about existing events and suggestions for the future by completing the below community survey by August 30.

Paper copies of the survey are also available in Customer Service at the Civic Centre or Sports Complex, during regular business hours.

Community Workshop

A virtual workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 17 from 6 to 7:15 p.m. to learn more about the project and share thoughts on our events. The session will be held via Zoom, and includes a presentation followed focused discussions led by the project team.

Registration for the workshop is available until the start of the meeting, however we recommend registering at least one day before to receive and review the presentation slides. If you’d like to participate in the workshop, please register using the button below:

EG’s Events team wants to hear your thoughts and ideas. Visit the team at an upcoming Town event at the Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street, Sharon) to complete the survey and learn more about the Strategy development process:

Music Night – Tuesday, July 23 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Join our consultant team to learn more about the Strategy and to share your thoughts.
Farmers Market – Every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.
Celebrating the Arts Taste of Culture – August 9 from 5 to 10 p.m. and August 10 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
