Climate Change Adaptation Plan
EG is developing a Climate Adaptation Plan and needs your input. identified the potential impacts of changing weather patterns. This is the initial work to define actions to help mitigate those impacts and be better prepared. To do so, we are reviewing those impacts and gathering ideas within the community.

- Movie Screening and Streaming of “The Lorax” on April 25 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Council Chambers at the EG Civic Centre and Online
- Eco-Fair on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the EG Sports Complex in the Canada Hall

Community Cleanup
Help keep our neighbourhoods, parks and trails clean by picking up litter and debris. Community members can arrange their own clean up events throughout the year or participate in the upcoming events:
- April 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mount Albert Community Centre
- April 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Murrell Park
- May 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Holland Landing Community Centre
- May 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vivian Creek Park
- May 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sharon Hills Park
- June 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ridgeview Park and Vista Hills Park

The EG Impact
Our efforts have had a big impact in EG! Some of the achievement's we're celebrating include:
- Diverted 7,550 tonnes of waste from landfills (in 2024)
- Planted over 3,300 trees (in 2024)
- Procured the Town’s first 2 electric vehicles
- 5,581 total accounts registered for e-billing
- Achieved a 100% inspection rating for the Town’s drinking water systems (in 2024)
- Received $60,000 in environment-related grant funding (in 2024)
- Over 700 participants attended environment-related events and workshops
