Noise By-law review - Council will review proposed changes to EG’s Noise By-law for consideration. Proposed changes to the by-law include new tools to respond to noise complaints, specific delivery times, weekend restrictions and more. Visit our By-laws page for details.

Covid-19 Information

EG FACILITIES ARE OPEN!

Civic Centre - Residents may visit the Town office to complete payments, pick-up or drop off items and schedule appointments to meet with staff. Visitors will have one point of access at the main entrance on the east side of the building, directly outside of Customer
Service. All other entrances remain closed to the public at this time.

Recreational facilities - the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex, Ross Family Complex and Holland Landing Community Centre are open at 50% capacity for all drop-in programs, registered programs, sports groups and organizations. Before you enter a facility, participants must:

  • Complete the active screening form
  • Show proof of double vaccination or medical exemption
  • Provide a piece of ID

VACCINE APPOINTMENT AVAILABILITY

Walk-ins will be accepted for eligible groups to receive first, second and booster doses at York Region vaccination clinics. For information on clinic locations or to book an appointment, visit york.ca/covid19vaccine for details.

EG’S NEW SNOWMOBILE BY-LAW!

Make your next snowmobile ride a fun and safe one by reviewing EG’s new snowmobile rules:

  • Operating restrictions from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Operating restrictions on any turfed boulevard, defined as that part of the boulevard improved with regularly maintained turf grass
  • Exemptions section, which grants an exemption to operate a motorized snow vehicle for emergency purposes by York Regional Police, Town employees and employees of Public Utilities

2022 DOG LICENSES

2022 dog licenses are available at Customer Service! Licenses are $37.70 per dog or $27.90 for seniors 65 and older. To obtain a dog license, visit the Civic Centre during regular business hours or complete the dog license application and credit card authorization form online.

Completed forms and payment can dropped off at Customer Service in the Town’s drop-box or sent by email.

2022 EG FARMERS MARKET APPLICATIONS

Early bird applications to join the EG Farmers Market for the 2022 season are open!

If you’re a local farmer or vendor interested in joining us on Thursday’s from 2 to 7 p.m. throughout the summer, please visit the Farmers Market page for details and to apply.

WASTE COLLECTION REMINDER

Medical masks, gloves and disinfectant wipes belong in the garbage. Please do not place these items in the recycling bin.

OUTDOOR SKATING

EG has two outdoor skating rinks, located at Ridge View Park in Holland Landing, and Mount Albert Community Centre Park in Mount Albert. Registration is not required, however residents are reminded to share the space with others.
