East Gwillimbury announces new Director of Information Technology and Information Management

The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) is pleased to announce Rob Halko as the new Director of Information Technology (IT) and Information Management (IM) within the Corporate Services department.

Rob will lead EG’s expert team of IT and IM professionals, with a strong focus on creative and cost-effective solutions that complement the Strategic Plan. EG's IT/IM team aims to empower staff and residents through innovative technology solutions that will connect people with vital and helpful information.

Rob joined EG in 2022 and led the Information Management team, focused on maximizing the value of the Town’s data. In this role, Rob made significant enhancements to the Town’s mapping capabilities and digital services. Before joining EG, Rob was the IT Project Manager for the Town of Ajax and Supervisor of GIS and Data Analytics for Durham Region.
