East Gwillimbury (EG) is planning the future of Town events and wants to engage with you. EG’s Municipal Events Strategy development process is underway with various opportunities for all community members to share thoughts, ideas, and feedback until Friday, August 30, 2024.

The strategy will identify ways EG can grow and improve events and partnerships, guide future event planning, and help lead a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable community. To ensure the strategy reflects the thoughts and ideas of all community members, various opportunities to share feedback are available. You can join the conversation by completing the online survey at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/EventsStrategy  or visiting the Events team at the following events at the EG Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street):

  • EG Farmers Market – Every Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.
  • Celebrating the Arts: A Taste of Culture, August 9 from 5 to 10 p.m. and August 10 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you are unable to participate in these engagement opportunities, please email Rhonda Wilson, Manager of Recreation, Community Engagement and Events at rwilson@eastgwillimbury.ca by August 30 to share your feedback.

“The launch of the Events Strategy showcases our commitment to building a vibrant, connected, and inclusive East Gwillimbury for years to come,” says Mayor Virginia Hackson. “I encourage all community members to engage with this important survey and share feedback that will allow us to create memorable experiences where we can bring our community together and celebrate the unique EG spirit.”
