Mosquito Control Program
The mosquito control program is the application of biological larvicide VectoBac 200G [PCP#18158, granular formulation] which will be applied by helicopter to select standing water mosquito breeding habitats within East Gwillimbury. This program is weather dependent and is scheduled to begin in April. Visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/Mosquito to view the treatment areas. This product contains B.t.i., which is specific to mosquito larvae. Contact the Town of East Gwillimbury, Dave Dodwell at 905-478-4283 ext. 1296 for more information.
Upcoming Statutory Public Meeting
Acorn Properties is seeking to develop 65 three-storey townhouses at 18490 and 18508 Leslie Street. In total, four townhouse blocks are proposed across the two properties with an internal private road. Join the public meeting on April 18 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the EG Civic Centre to have your say. Members of the public may express their support, opposition, or comments regarding the application by pre-registering for the meeting by April 17 at 4:30 p.m. To pre-register, please contact the Clerks Office at clerks@eastgwillimbury.ca.

Go Service is Expanding
Metrolinx is completing drilling tests along the GO train line, near Green Lane. This work will help check ground conditions in prepartion of the future GO expansion project. The work may cause slight vibrations and noise. The testing has started and will last about five weeks, happening Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Learn more at www.metrolinx.com/York

Calling all Hockey Fans
Join the Emergency and Community Safety Services unofficial hockey team as they take on the EG U18 Eagles in a charity hockey game to support the Newmarket Nighthawks, Special Needs Hockey on April 23 at the EG Sports Complex.
