Procedure By-law Review Workshop

Council and staff discussed potential updates to the Procedural by-law for the Town. This Special Council meeting was in a workshop format open to the public; with the purpose of the workshop to have an informative discussion and seek feedback on the by-law, where no decisions were made. A Procedural by-law is mandated under the Municipal Act and helps Council and Administration run Council meetings. Council and staff review the by-law from time to time to ensure meeting options are considered in the best interests of matters before Council.

Learn about potential updates to the Procedure By-law here: LLS Pres - Procedure By-Law Review or watch the video of staff presentation and Council discussion here (Presentation starts at approximately 55 mins).

Council Video Production Workshop
Council and staff also discussed recent upgrades to how Council is supported by technology and systems and discussed options for continual improvement with the aim of greater community engagement.
