Wind Phone Unveiling
Join us in collaboration with Oasis Centre for Bereavement and Healing to unveil a Wind Phone along the Nokiidaa Trail on December 16 at 3 p.m. Parking is available at 11 Mount Albert Road. A Wind Phone is a therapeutic tool that Oasis has introduced in communities around York Region to help support individuals on their grief journeys. In 2010 Itaru Sasaki, a Japanese landscape garden designer, was mourning the death of his cousin when he produced the idea of an unconnected rotary phone to communicate his thoughts and feelings taken on the wind to his cousin. Learn more about Wind Phones here.
