The Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) is excited to announce the receipt of a gold-level MarCom Award. These awards recognize and honour the creativity and hard work of communications and marketing professionals.
The award was presented to the EG Communication’s team for their work on the Public Engagement Campaign to understand how EG residents best receive information from the Town and would prefer to receive future information. This information was collected through a survey.
The creative campaign used catchy bold pop references to attract attention and resonate with residents. The team ensured this survey was available to all residents and promoted it in a variety of ways, including in-person events, facility signage, social media, road signs, eNewsletters, print publications, geofenced ads and more.
This is the fourth MarCom gold-level award the EG Communications team has won. Previous awards were received for the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, the 2022 Paid On-Call Firefighter Recruitment campaign and the 2022 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation campaign.
Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most respected creative competitions in the world. Each year about 6,500 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries. MarCom is administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP). The international organization, founded in 1995, consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital, and web professionals.
