The Regional Municipality of York is addressing recent reports of increased odour around the Holland Landing Lagoons at 19932 2nd Concession (Cedar Avenue) in East Gwillimbury. The Lagoons treat municipal wastewater from approximately 4,000 residents in the community of Holland Landing and are an integral part of the regional system in protecting the environment.
When to report an unusual odour
The Region does not anticipate any further odours throughout the winter. Odours lasting more than one
to two days coming from a York Region facility are considered unusual and should be reported.
