A look back –
January 21, 2024 – Committee of the Whole Council (CWC) Meeting – 2 p.m. 
Engineering and Public Works brought forward a report on the Blue Bin Transition, which will take place later this year.  
A joint Corporate Services and Fire and Emergency Service (FES) Presentation on the FES review was heard.  
The Development Services branch brought forward several street naming requests. 

A Special Meeting of Council followed the CWC Meeting. 
Council Meeting – 6 p.m. 
Development Services brought forward a memo on Part Lot Control Exemption By-law for RCH (Anchor Woods) Homes Inc.  
Legal and Legislative Services brought forward a memo to appoint a Municipal Poundkeeper.

Outdoor Rinks in EG
Embrace the winter weather and use EG’s newly opened outdoor skating rinks! The Mount Albert Community Centre (53 Main Street) and Ridge View Park (16 Pear Blossom Way) rinks are open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and feature outdoor lights. The rinks are used for skating only. Vivian Creek Notice
EG has made improvements to the Vivian Creek Trail. The section of the trail from Vivian Creek Park to Samuel Harper Court, will reopen to the public on Monday, January 27. The project improved drainage, enhanced local wetlands, and provided stream restoration along Vivian Creek. Learn more on our website. Please exercise caution, remain on the trail, and keep out of environmentally sensitive wetland areas.

EV Charging Stations
Effective January 21, a usage fee will be applied at all public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. 
Fee structure:  

• $2/hour while actively charging  
• $4/hour while plugged in but not charging (with a 30-minute grace period from completed charge)  

Publicly available charging stations in EG:  

• Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street, Sharon)  
• EG Sports Complex (1914B Mount Albert Road, Sharon)  
• EG Operations Centre (19850 Woodbine Avenue, Queensville)  
• Holland Landing Community Centre (19513 Yonge Street, Holland Landing)  
• Ross Family Complex (19300 Centre Street, Mount Albert)

Winter PA Day Camps
Spend your day off school with us! Registration is open for winter PA Day camps! Register for:

• Senior PA Day Camp – January 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Junior PA Day Camp – January 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Find Your 2025 Property Tax Information Online
The 2025 interim tax bills have been mailed. If you did not receive your bill, please contact the Town at 905-478-4282, and we will re-issue the bill. The first installment due date is February 28, 2025. Learn more at eastgwillimbury.ca/PropertyTax.

Family Fun Day
Bring your family and join us for Family Fun Day on February 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the EG Sports Complex! This event is free and is suitable for all ages. Summer camp registration opens and will be available for EG residents to register in-person from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Customer Service desk. Camp resident registration is also available online. Enjoy:

• Free public skating
• Face painting
• Outdoor entertainment – Fire pit and DJ!
• Food and beverage vendors ($)
