Council highlights from the January 16 and 18 workshops.
2022-2026 Strategic Plan – Council is developing a Strategic Plan to guide the direction of the Town over the next four years. Currently, there are five emerging priority areas, including environmental stewardship, culture of municipal excellence, quality programs and services, building complete communities and responsible growth. The plan also outlines key deliverables. Council will be seeking public feedback on the plan in the coming weeks. Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority Update - The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (CA’s) provided an overview of changes to their regulations following the new More Homes Built Faster Act. Changes include altering the CA’s ability to participate in the review of applications under a variety of acts such as developments in the green belt and Oak Ridges Moraine under the Planning Act. Environmental Initiatives - Staff presented an overview of the Town’s past, current, and future state of environmental stewardship. Plans for 2023 includes outreach to the community and key partners and the development of a community based Environmental Strategy.

Downtown Holland Landing Revitalization Project Update
EG and York Region are making improvements to downtown Holland Landing! Beginning in the next few weeks the Town’s contractor, Cosburn-Giberson Consultants Inc., will be in the project area to gather information to support the design process.
