Did you know that illegal dumping is costing you more? The impacts of illegal dumping include the cost to staff time to remove the items and clean the area, the cost to the environment and our beautiful spaces. If you have extra garbage to dispose of, pick up your collection tags – the first five are FREE, from the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street) or Sports Complex (1914B Mount Albert Road) Customer Service desks during regular operating hours. Give us your feedback on how we can grow and improve our events and partnerships, guide future event planning and help lead a more connected, inclusive and sustainable community.

Virtual Community Workshop
A virtual workshop is available to attend on Wednesday, July 17 from 6 to 7:15 p.m. to learn more about the municipal events strategy. The session will be held via Zoom, and includes a presentation and discussion led by the project team. Registration is recommended to receive and review the presentation slides.

Coyote Sighting
There have been reports of a coyote sighting along the Rogers Reservoir Conservation. We ask residents to be cautious in the area and review our coyote page for what to do when you see a coyote and how to prevent them from visiting your property. Visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/Coyotes

York Region Transit Service Changes
On-Request Holland Landing and Mount Albert will be combined to improve service and traveller experience. On-Request will no longer service the 404 Town Centre from Mount Albert. Travellers can connect to Route 50 – Queensway to get to the 404 Town Centre. Visit the York Region Transit website for more information.

Join York University’s YSpace for Business Foundations is covering vital business management aspects including market research, business plan development and operations setup, branding strategies and more. The virtual workshop series runs Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. until August 27, 2024.

Attend at least seven out of nine workshops to receive an Innovation York Certificate of Completion, showcasing your dedication to entrepreneurship essentials.

Business Foundations is free for entrepreneurs aged 18 and above in York Region.

Book Walk and Talk
Want to get out of the house, enjoy nature, and talk about books this summer? Come to the East Gwillimbury Public Library’s weekly Book Walk and Talk! Enjoy a walk on the trail behind the Holland Landing Library Branch (19513 Yonge Street) and share some of your favourite recent reads with your fellow Library lovers.

Join us every Tuesday in July and August at the Holland Landing branch at 5 p.m. This event is held outdoors so dress prepared for the weather. Free program for adults; no registration required.
