As of July 16, 2021, the province of Ontario will move into Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen Plan. In order to safely enter Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen, Ontario needed to have vaccinated 70-80% of adults with at least one dose, and 25% with two doses. As of July 8, 2021, over 77% of the 12+ population in Ontario had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and over 50% have received their second dose.
Face coverings in indoor public settings and physical distancing requirements remain in place during Step Three.
To read the full list, visit our Step 3 information page.
As of Monday, July 5, all individuals 12+, who live, work or attend school in York Region who received their first dose at least 28 days prior, can book their second dose appointment at www.york.ca/COVID19Vaccine
If you need assistance with booking or getting to your appointment, visit our COVID-19 Vaccine Support page.
If you have a second dose booked, you can re-book an earlier appointment. Previously booked second-dose appointments will be honoured and will not be cancelled unless a new and earlier appointment is confirmed.
Individuals who received AstraZeneca for their first dose can book their second dose appointment 8 weeks after their first. Individuals can choose to receive a second dose of AstraZeneca or an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna. Visit www.york.ca/COVID19Vaccine to book a second dose appointment or contact the pharmacy, clinic or primary care provider where you received your first dose to make your appointment.
Final 2021 residential tax bills have been mailed and payments are due on August 31 and October 29. Payments can be made at the Town’s dropbox located outside of the Civic Centre, at your bank, online/phone banking or through a preauthorized payment plan.
If your tax account is not current, a pre-set monthly payment can be arranged to help you catch up on tax arrears. Unpaid taxes will be charged 1.25% interest per month effective the first day of default. Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt the bill from being due or from incurring interest. Please contact the Town at 905-478- 4282 or send an email for any questions.
