Sharpen your skates EG! Public skating programs will take place Monday to Friday from August 3 to September 3 at the EG Sports Complex. Residents can register for Public Skating, Parent and Tot Skate, Adult Shinny and Hockey Clinics. For more information, visit our skating page.

As part of the accelerated capital investment program, Bell is expanding its high-speed Internet services to approximately 5,000 locations in EG by the end of 2021. This program will provide fast and high-capacity 100% fibre connections to even more residents with Internet download speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. For more information, visit our Broadband in EG page.
Utility relocation has started on Yonge Street as part of the Yonge Street Improvement project. From July 26 to September there may lane reductions during off-peak times from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Davis Drive and Green Lane. This week the sidewalk on the west side of Yonge Street between Green Lane and Green Lane Centre will be closed. There are no bus stop relocations at this time. Trailer Hide & Seek - Have you seen Emergency and Community Safety Services’ new fire education trailer around EG? From July 23 to August 2, the trailer will be hidden at different locations through EG. Spot the trailer and learn two fire safety messages on it, email our Fire Department with the messages and location to win a prize!
Back to School Jitters - On August 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., join this workshop to learn how to reduce stress and manage jitters about heading back to school. James Anglican Church Food Pantry - Open every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon, located at 18804 Leslie Street. Residents can drop in to the food pantry for assistance, if you require clothing, please call 905-478-1959 to make arrangements for pick-up.
