A look back  – 
March 4, 2025 – Committee of the Whole Council – 10 a.m. 

Development Services had a report on the agenda regarding extensions of Draft Plan Approval for Subdivisions in Sharon. 

The Finance Department shared a report on EG’s Unaudited 2024 Year End Financial Position. 

Legal and Legislative Services shared a report titled “Evolving Governance Model and Restructuring Strategy for Advisory Committees and Groups.”  

Engineering and Public Works shared the 2024 Annual Summary Report for the Town’s Drinking Water Systems.  

In Corporate Services, the Communications Branch was recognized for their receipt of a Gold-Level MarCom award for their 2024 Engagement Campaign. Read more here.

Be a hydrant hero! Obstructed fire hydrants can create a delay in firefighting operations. Clear your fire hydrant and enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local restaurant. Notice of Aerial Application of Larvicide to Control Larval Mosquitoes
Weather permitting, beginning March 31 until May 31, the biological larvicide VectoBac 200G [PCP#18158, granular formulation] will be applied by helicopter to select standing water mosquito breeding habitats within EG. View the treatment areas at eastgwillimbury.ca/mosquito. This product contains B.t.i., which is specific to mosquito larvae. Mortality results within 24 hours; the larvicide biodegrades within 72 hours. HALP Playground Survey
We want to hear from you! EG is seeking your feedback on a proposed playground structure at the Health and Active Living Plaza. The playground will offer a variety of play opportunities, including equipment for children aged two to 12, multiple deck levels, and both physical and cognitive play components. Your feedback is essential to help guide the design and ensure the playground meets the diverse needs of our community creating an inclusive environment for everyone. Come to the library’s Digital Empowerment Series to navigate technology together! Explore everything from computer basics to the App Store, addressing common challenges along the way as we build confidence in using everyday tech. This is free for adults and seniors.
