East Gwillimbury is inviting the community to gather, learn, grow, and inspire inclusion to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 (IWD). Together with women across various professional fields and backgrounds, local entrepreneurs, and businesses, the Town is hosting an exciting professional development conference on Friday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Gwillimbury Sports Complex located at 1914B Mount Albert Road.

The theme for IWD 2024 is Inspiring Inclusion. The event will bring together the community to celebrate women's empowerment and successes and will also engage guests to learn from women in various fields who are forging a way for others. Through speakers, presentations, networking sessions, and a local business vendor market, participants will explore a variety of topics including:

  • Helping women to become ‘unstuck” and achieve heightened levels of performance
  • How to Inspire Inclusion
  • Lifestyle Tips and Strategies for Managing Stress in Daily Living
  • Breaking the Mould: Women in Environmental Work
  • The Ever-Changing Woman
  • Empowering Artistic Voices: Promoting Creative and Artistic Talent of Women and Girls

The IWD event welcomes attendees of all genders, backgrounds, and professions who share a passion for advancing women's rights and creating inclusive change. Join us as we honour the past, celebrate the present, and envision a future where all women and girls can thrive.
