Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of East Gwillimbury passed by-law 2022-054 on June 7, 2022, under Section 34 of the Planning Act.
The purpose and effect of the by-law is to rezone a portion of the lands to permit cold storage distribution, a distribution centre, a transport terminal, a stormwater management facility, a pumping station, truck refuelling station, and a truck repair garage. More specifically, the property is rezoned from Rural (RU) to Employment Prestige – Exception (M1(170)) and Environmental Protection (EP) and Environmental Protection – Exception (EP (171)).

Take notice that any person or agency may submit an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) with respect to the by-law by filing a notice of appeal with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Town of East Gwillimbury no later than June 28, 2022, and must identify the by-law subject to the appeal, set out the reasons for the appeal and be accompanied by the required Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Form “Appellant Form (A1)” and a certified cheque or money order in the amount of $1,100.00 payable to the Minister of Finance and the Town’s fee of $653.50 in the form of a certified cheque made payable to the Town of East Gwillimbury. Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) Forms can be located on the OLT’s website.
Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the OLT. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.
No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
