Committee of the Whole Council (CWC) at 10 a.m.
The Arts and Culture Committee is asking that Council approve a request for a proposal to supply and install public art in Carnaby Park (located near 2nd Concession and Doane Road).
The Development Services department will provide a presentation on the Town’s Heritage Strategy. The results of various consultations, relevant legislation, and recommendations will be shared.
Several Planning Branch reports are on the agenda – please see the full agenda for details.
A memo deferred from the October 22 CWC meeting is on the agenda.
Parks, Recreation and Culture will bring forward a report on recreation programs and non-resident rates. The report recommends that Council approve a non-resident surcharge and that the implementation will start with winter program registration in December 2024. Daylight Savings Ends
Gain an extra hour of sleep on November 3! The clocks go back one hour as daylight savings time ends. Remember to change the batteries in your smoke and CO alarms. Do not forget to test the batteries in your alarms monthly. In an emergency, seconds matter and working smoke alarms save lives.
Snow Clearing Assistance Program
EG is offering a Snow Removal Financial Assistance Pilot Program for residents over 65 or residents with a disability.

Bridge Closure
The safety of roads and bridges in East Gwillimbury is a top priority. Due to unforeseen circumstances and damage, the bridge on Queensville Sideroad, located approximately 100 metres east of Highway 48, crossing Mount Albert Creek is now closed. Queensville Sideroad will be closed at Highway 48 in the Town of East Gwillimbury. Local access to private properties and businesses will remain open from Centre Street west towards the bridge closure. Waste collection will not be affected in this area. We appreciate your patience. EG's Draft Tree Protection By-law

Do you struggle to get to the library due to any sort of limitation? Want to have items curated by your favourite library staff brought to you in the comfort of your own home?
Sign up for our Home Library Service which delivers on a monthly basis. This is a convenient solution for busy families, shift workers, or anyone who may have difficulty making a trip to the library.
Items will be brought to your home or residence and given a slightly longer loaning period to allow for you to fully enjoy library items. This service is available to anyone who lives in East Gwillimbury and has registered for a Library Card.
