November 21 Council Highlights
Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (MYAP) – The Town’s 2023 to 2027 MYAP was approved. The Plan outlines EG’s strategy to meet, and where feasible, exceed the requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) to identify, remove and prevent barriers for people with disabilities, making Town programs, services, and facilities more accessible and inclusive for all. Upcoming Road and Sidewalk Designs Public Information Centre (PIC) - The Town is hosting a PIC on December 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Civic Centre for members of the community to review and provide feedback on a proposed new sidewalk on Mount Albert Road, intersection improvements at Centre Street and Queensville Sideroad., and Rogers Road reconstruction. Updated Servicing Allocation Policy – Council approved an update to the Town’s current Servicing Allocation Policy, which will provide direction and guidance when making decisions about how EG'S remaining Municipal reserve will be allocated. The updated policy ensures that the Town can achieve the objectives defined in the Strategic Plan through the following updated priority criteria: Employment Related Uses, 40%, New Applications that diversify housing stock or contribute to attainability, 50%, Consents/Individual Connections 10%.

Customer Service is back upstairs!
The Customer Service area renovation is complete, and the team is back in their original home upstairs at the Civic Centre (19000 Leslie Street). Please visit our new space during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Customer Service is also available at the Sports Complex from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste collection takes place every other week until December 1. Place yard waste/fall decor by the curb at 7 a.m. on your collection day. Learn more at www.eastgwillimbury.ca/yardwaste
Purchase Collection Tags
Waste collection tags can be purchased at the Civic Centre Customer Service desk at the Civic Centre, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or the Sports Complex. There is a limit of two waste items/bags for collection each week. More than two items/bags require a collection tag. For more information on waste collection, visit www.eastgwillimbury.ca/Waste
