2024 Business Plan and Budget Proposed Approval

Council will consider the 2024 Business Plan and Budget for adoption at the December 5 Council meeting. The proposed budget has an overall tax levy increase of approximately $144 per average household. As part of this budget, there were several pressures that influenced the overall tax levy. These include:

  • Inflation and contractual cost increases to maintain base programs and services
  • Growth-related cost increases related to training, legal fees, and software licensing, new staffing requests
  • Service level enhancements including contributions to asset management reserves and funding for operating the Health and Active Living Plaza once construction is complete
