The Town of East Gwillimbury applauds the recent Provincial government announcement of $1,040,889 in funding for 2022 through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, an increase of $555,310 from 2021.
These funds will be used to build and repair the roads, bridges and water and wastewater infrastructure we all rely on. On behalf of Council, I thank our local MPP Caroline Mulroney, York-Simcoe and the Province for recognizing the need for small and medium-sized municipalities to renew and rehabilitate core infrastructure and allocating funds to ensure this work can be undertaken.
