East Gwillimbury Council will hold Public Meetings in regard to two Zoning By-law Amendment applications.

Any person may attend the public meeting to make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Planning Act application. You may attend the meeting in-person or by joining electronically. If you wish to make a verbal representation by joining the meeting electronically, you must register no later than February 20 at 4:30 p.m., by emailing the Town of East Gwillimbury Clerks Office.

The Clerks Office will provide any such person with instructions on how to make their electronic verbal representation. Written comments can also be provided directly to the Development Services Department by emailing Matthieu Daoust, Senior Planner prior to the meeting. First Application

The Owner has submitted a Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) application.

Purpose
The zoning by-law amendment is proposing to rezone 2.5 ha of the subject lands from Oak Ridge Moraine Core (ORMC) zone to a site-specific Oak Ridge Moraine Core zone (ORMC-xx) to permit an on farm diversified use (fitness facility/classes) within an existing barn as an accessory use to the primary equestrian use on the lands.

Second Application

The Owner has submitted a Draft Plan of Subdivision (19T-22002) Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) application.

Purpose
The purpose of these applications is to permit a variety of Employment uses, including warehouse, office, commercial and warehouse uses, that will be grouped in four structures for a potential combined ground floor area of 74,282 m2 (799,564 ft2). The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment would rezone the lands from “Rural (RU) Zone” to “Site Specific Prestige Employment (M1-xx) and (M1-xxx) Zone”.

Zoning By-law (O.Reg. 545/06)

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Town of East Gwillimbury on the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, you must make a written request to the Town of East Gwillimbury to the attention of Matthieu Daoust, Senior Planner – Development Services – Planning Branch. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Town of East Gwillimbury to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written Page 2 of 2 submission to the Town of East Gwillimbury before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Town of East Gwillimbury before the proposed official plan is adopted or the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
