The Town of East Gwillimbury’s Community Parks, Recreation and Culture Department has coordinated a public consultation process to keep residents informed of the design requirements for the Averton Phase 3 Trail, including anticipated construction schedule and work program.

Location: Mount Albert Community Centre (53 Main St, Mount Albert)

Background

As part of the developer’s subdivision agreement, they are required to design and construct a recreational trail through the existing open space. This trail will be fully funded through development charges. The trail is identified in the Town’s Active Transportation and Trails Master Plan and will connect the community, provide recreational opportunities, and encourage active transportation modes.
